Check for Asbestos Before You Rehab a Building

Are you ready to transform an industrial building into a new craft brewery or trendy apartments? Does your city have blighted houses slated for demolition? Before you move forward with a building renovation or demolition, it is required by federal law to identify asbestos-containing materials (ACM) that could be hiding behind the walls or lurking underneath old carpet.

Asbestos has been used in many different building materials and can still be found in commercial, industrial, and residential structures today. Before any renovation or demolition activity occurs, Prism can help you by conducting a pre-demolition or pre-renovation asbestos assessment to evaluate and sample building materials so you are aware if any ACM needs to be properly abated prior to building rehabilitation. If you are planning to renovate or demolish a building, please contact Prism to discuss your project with one of our licensed asbestos inspectors!
